2 Protein Packed Savory Guilt Free Cheat Meals
Need a break from clean eating? Here’s how to make meals taste like a treat but still benefit your gains.
Protein frittata
You’ll need:
• 6 egg whites
• 1 large egg
• ¼ cup CHiKPRO chicken protein isolate powder
• 1 teaspoon olive oil
• 1 clove garlic, chopped
• 6 asparagus spears
• 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
• 2 green onions, sliced
• ¼ cup feta cheese
• Salt and pepper to taste
What to do
1: Preheat oven to 350F. Whisk together egg whites, egg, and CHiKPRO.
2: In an oven-safe pan, heat the olive oil on medium and cook garlic 1-2 minutes.
3: Add the asparagus, spinach and green onions, and cook until the asparagus is tender and the spinach wilts.
4: Pour the egg/CHIKPRO mixture over the asparagus, spinach, and onions. Sprinkle in half of your cheese.
5: Cook 5-6 minutes on low heat. When the eggs are mostly set, sprinkle the rest of the cheese.
6: Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until your frittata is firm and the cheese is melted.
Protein pizza
You don’t have to order in. This pizza will be more forgiving to your diet.
You’ll need
• 1/4 cup (30g) whole wheat pastry flour
• 1/2 scoop (15g) the protein chef baking protein or your choice protein powder
• 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/8 teaspoon salt
• 1 1/2 ounces milk (or milk substitute)
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• Tomato/pizza sauce
• Oregano
• 1/8 cup (14g) your choice lower fat cheese
• Mini pepperoni slices (optional)
What to do
1: Mix together your flour, protein, baking powder and salt in a bowl.
2: Add in your milk and olive oil, and mix together until the clumps are gone.
3: Smooth out your drop and layer on your sauce, oregano, cheese and pepperoni slices.
4: Microwave for 60-90 seconds, depending on how powerful your microwave is (once the mix starts bubbling, it’s done).
Top it with whichever ingredients you want.
