How To Use Sleep To Look Younger
We all know sleep is important. Your body uses shut-eye to recover after each workout, but here’s how to use it to make you look younger.
Bash fine lines
Overnight creams can help fight acne and dryness from the winter weather. Wearing it while you sleep gives the cream time to work and not be affected by your daily activities. Rub a little on right after a shower, and then again just before bed for an extra moisturizing kick.
Leave-in hair conditioner
Washing your do after each workout causes dryness, so try leaving in half a finger’s worth in your hair to hydrate and bring it back to life.
Get smooth as silk
Cotton pillowcases can cause hair breakage and wrinkles when you sleep due to friction, so switch to silk cases. They help your skin retain moisture because it’s a natural fiber. Plus, they reduce the severity of bed head because your hair glides over them rather than sticking to them.
Wear socks to bed
This might be the ultimate bedroom faux pas but winter usually brings dry weather which in turn brings dry skin. Try wearing cotton socks on your feet after you moisturize. And use basic Vaseline to get that soft skin back.
Invest in a humidifier
You’ve no doubt felt the desire to wash away the morning breath, the result of you not having had water during the night. Well, your skin feels the same way. By adding moisture in the air it helps repair skin while you sleep, perfect for the morning glow when he stays over.
